CowlersleyCowlersley Lane, CowlersleyCowlersley is a village on the southern side of the Colne Valley about 3 miles west-south-west of Huddersfield town centre, between Milnsbridge and Linthwaite.

Housing from several eras has gradually filled the area surrounding Cowlersley Lane, which runs from Milnsbridge towards the upper part of Linthwaite and Blackmoorfoot. The route rises above old quarries excavated from the main Manchester Road which runs along the Colne Valley. The area is beneath the hillside of Crosland Hill.
