Houses Hill

Houses HillHouses Hill is a hamlet around 3 miles east of Huddersfield town centre (4 miles by road) and just over a mile north-east of Lepton and a similar distance south-east of Kirkheaton.

The hamlet is, unsurprisingly, one of houses on a hill, with surrounding farmland.

Many of the houses date from the 19th century. The area used to have two Methodist chapels, one Primitive and one Weslyan, but these have long been rebuilt or converted to houses.
