South Crosland
The village is a farming community with additional residential development from recent years, sitting high above the wooded sides of the valley of Hall Dike which flows into Mag Brook.
South Crosland used to have its own pub, The Kings Arms, but this was closed in 2012.
Between 1894 and 1938, South Crosland was also a civil parish with its own Urban District. Local government reorganisation in 1938 saw this divided between the Huddersfield County Borough,
