Big reopening has begun April 12, 2021
Outdoor visitor attractions can also open again, although any indoor areas will stay closed for the time being. Advance bookings will need to be made at many places.
Cafes and pubs make a very welcome return with table service at their outdoor seating areas and beer gardens. Restaurants may also open for outdoor service.
Hairdressers and nail salons have also been able to open their doors from April 12.
Gyms can reopen for individual or household exercise and local swimming pools and fitness centres have reopened for some of their activities.
Kirklees libraries have reopened sessions for safe borrowing and bookable IT use, but the Huddersfield central library remains closed except for the children's library.
Self-contained accommodation can open for overnight stays in England within your household or support bubble. Campsites are also reopening, but may be without some of the usual facilities at present.
While some freedoms are returning, and new cases of Covid-19 have recently fallen, it has not gone away and caution is still needed to keep yourself and others safe. The Government continues to advise that you should stay 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions such as wearing face coverings if you cannot stay 2 metres apart. A rule on gatherings of either up to six or two households still applies.
We recommend you check the website of visitor attractions you plan to visit to check their planned opening times and ticket arrangements.
