Town’s Premier League is over May 12, 2019
Town’s two seasons in Premier League are over, but although Town are descending to the Championship in the league's bottom place, Town fans' away travel bills could be a little lighter next season as they look forward to plenty of local derby matches against other Yorkshire teams. Sheffield United will not be among them having won promotion to the Premier League, continuing the Yorkshire representation only Town have provided for the last two seasons. In the Championship next season, however, will be Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Hull and Barnsley. Barnsley replace Rotherham who are relegated to League One where Doncaster will also be staying after losing their play-off semi-final second leg on penalties.
