Lane

Lane, near HolmeLane is a tiny hamlet high above the Holme Valley and within the Peak District National Park. It is about 7.5 miles south-south-west of Huddersfield town centre (8.6 miles by road) and about 3 miles south-west of Holmfirth.

Lane is just beyond Holme on the A6024 Woodhead Road from Holmfirth.

Although it has been provided with "Lane village" signs, it is a tiny hamlet and outpost of Holme, consisting of a few houses, farm buildings and holiday cottages.
