The 2016 fire wrecked the millTwo plans are before the council, one for apartments within a rebuilt shell of the landmark four-storey mill.

Except for the surviving clock tower, the mill was demolished down to its ground floor immediately after its interior was gutted by a major fire on November 17, 2016.

Another plan is to build houses on the adjoining derelict site of single-storey mill buildings which were cleared after a fire many years earlier.
