End of season goal keeps Town on the level May 8, 2021

Huddersfield Town's last match of the season ended in a 2-2 draw at Reading on Saturday May 8.

The Terriers had a week earlier become safe in the knowledge that they were out of reach of relegation zone clubs and that they would be staying in the Championship next season, but picked up an additional point from their final game when Rarmani Edmonds-Green scored the equaliser in added time in the 93rd minute of the game.

Town had gained an early lead after 15 minutes from a Josh Koroma goal, but Reading equalised from a penalty three minutes later and were in the lead well before half-time.

Draws also for Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday in their games see them both relegated while Derby, who were hosting Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, stay in the Championship. A win for already-relegated Wycombe Wanderers saw the two South Yorkshire clubs occupying the bottom two of the three relegation places.

Town finish 20th out the 24 Championship clubs.
