Town end season in 10th place in League One May 3, 2025

John Smith's Stadium, HuddersfieldHuddersfield Town spend another season in League One after an end of season run of six lost games left them in 10th position.

The Terriers had looked to be capable of promotion earlier in the season when they had an unbeaten run of 16 games, but it was not to be.

On the positive side, Town can look forward to plenty of Yorkshire derby games next season in the league where Barnsley and Rotherham United also still remain and where Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City will join them from League Two. Doncaster are League Two champions and Bradford earned their automatic promotion through a last-minute goal six minutes into added time to steal the third spot from Walsall.

The Terriers finish two places above Barnsley and three above Rotherham. League One Champions were Birmingham City, who were relegated from the Championship with Town last year but romped back up with their 111 points, some 47 points ahead of Town's 64 points.
