Savings for bus users September 4, 2022

Bus travellers in West Yorkshire are now able to make longer journeys at lower cost under a "Mayor's Fares" plan introduced from Sunday September 4.

There will be a maximum fare of £2 for any single journey within West Yorkshire with the aim of boosting bus travel at a time of high fuel costs. The price of a day's unlimited bus travel through the DaySaver ticket on the MCard app has also been dropped by a £1 to £4.50.

The Mayor's Fares subsidies are funded for three years as part of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's Bus Service Improvement Plan.
