Some Sunday services continue to and from Lincoln.

Denby Dale Viaduct In addition to providing a route from Huddersfield to Sheffield via Penistone, Barnsley and Meadowhall, the line serves as a busy commuter railway for some of the many large villages to the south-east of Huddersfield.

The full journey from Huddersfield takes around 1hr 16mins, reflecting the number of stops and somewhat meandering route, but this remains the fastest available on rail routes still open to the South Yorkshire city 22 miles away.

PLEASE NOTE: This travel study is provided for basic guidance and indicates the general daytime pattern of Monday to Saturday trains. We recommend checking your route on journey planners before travelling, particularly in the evening and on Sundays.
